Nooshi`s FAQS

What is Nooshi’s?

Nooshi’s is a fresh pet food  and
treats brand dedicated to creating minimally processed, whole-food meals for
dogs and cats using 100% human-grade ingredients. Our recipes are built around
real animal proteins, organs, and carefully selected whole foods, without
fillers, artificial preservatives, or synthetic vitamin mixes.

We focus on creating balanced,
species-appropriate diets that support long-term health, vitality, and
longevity. Every recipe is formulated with intention, transparency, and care,
using ingredients that serve a real nutritional purpose. At Nooshi’s, we make
the food we are proud to

What makes Nooshi’s different?

Nooshi’s was built by pet parents who wanted better food for their own dogs
and cats and could not find it locally. Everything we do starts with quality,
transparency, and long term health, not trends or shortcuts.

We use 100% human-grade ingredients sourced from trusted suppliers. We never
use 3D or 4D meat, by-products, or rendered meals. Every protein, organ, bone,
and whole food ingredient is included for a specific nutritional purpose and
handled with the same care you would expect for food prepared in your own
kitchen.

Our recipes are made with real, identifiable ingredients you can see, not
ground mystery blends. We do not use fillers, artificial preservatives,
synthetic vitamin premixes, colors, flavors, or palatants. Nutrition comes from
real food sources like muscle meat, organs, bones, and whole foods, not
lab-made additives.

Transparency is central to how we operate. We openly share our ingredients,
sourcing, formulation philosophy, and production process. We also believe trust
is built through real results, which is why we conduct long term feeding trials
on our own dogs and cats and share those outcomes openly.

At Nooshi’s, we do not believe in vague labels or marketing claims. We
believe pet parents deserve to know exactly what they are feeding and why. We
make the food we are proud to feed our own pets every single day.

Dog Transition Tips

If your dog is having a hard time adjusting to Nooshi’s food, here are a few
tips that can help make the transition smoother.

Slower transition: For picky dogs, a slower transition often works
best. Start with a very small amount of Nooshi’s food, about ½ to 1 teaspoon,
mixed thoroughly into their current food. Over the course of 2 to 3 weeks,
slowly increase the amount while monitoring how your dog responds.

Warm up the food: Fresh food served straight from the fridge can
sometimes be too cold or less appealing. Letting the food sit at room
temperature for a few minutes before serving can help release its aroma and
make it more enticing. You can also place the sealed container in warm water
and stir gently to bring it to a comfortable temperature.

Flavor boosters: Adding a small topper can also encourage hesitant
eaters. Options like a low-sodium bone broth without onions or garlic, a small
amount of plain yogurt, or a few sardines with no added salt can help boost
interest during the transition.

Make it interactive: Making mealtime more engaging can also help. Try
using puzzle feeders or slow feeders, or change the presentation by using a
different bowl. These small changes can make meals more exciting and help dogs
feel more curious about their food.

Positive reinforcement: When your dog tries the new food, offer
praise, gentle affection, or a favorite activity. Creating positive
associations with mealtime can help build confidence and acceptance over time.

Cat Transition Tips

Cats are imprint eaters, which means they form strong preferences around
food and routine. Because of this, it is completely normal for cats to reject
new food at first, even if it is high quality.

If your cat is having a hard time adjusting to Nooshi’s food, the tips below
can help make the transition easier.

Slower transition: For picky cats, a very slow transition works best.
Start with a tiny amount of Nooshi’s food, about ¼ teaspoon, mixed thoroughly
into their current food. Over the course of 2 to 3 weeks, slowly increase the
amount while monitoring how your cat responds.

If your cat is currently eating dry food, we recommend transitioning first
to a canned wet food before moving to fresh food. This helps your cat adjust to
higher moisture content, a softer texture, and a new feeding routine. Cats that
are used to kibble often develop strong preferences for its texture and flavor
enhancers, so this step helps ease the change without overwhelming their palate
or digestive system.

Set meal times: Creating a consistent feeding routine is also
important. Instead of free feeding, offer meals at set times each day. A
predictable schedule helps regulate appetite and makes cats more receptive to
new foods.

Warm up the food: Fresh food served straight from the fridge can
sometimes be too cold or less appealing. Let the food sit at room temperature
for a few minutes before serving to release its aroma. You can also place the
sealed container in warm water and stir gently to bring it to a more appetizing
temperature.

Flavor boosters: To encourage interest, you can add a small topper
such as a warm, low-sodium bone broth without onions or garlic, a pinch of
nutritional yeast, or a tiny amount of sardines or tuna with no added salt.
Cats are strongly drawn to smell, and these aromas often help spark curiosity.

Enhance prey drive: Engaging your cat before mealtime can also help.
A short play session using a feather wand or toy can stimulate their natural
instincts and make them more interested in eating afterward. Serving food on a
flat plate rather than a deep bowl may also feel more comfortable for some
cats.

Scent play: Cats are very sensitive to scent. Rubbing a small amount
of the new food on their paws or whiskers allows them to explore the smell in a
non-threatening way and can help build familiarity over time.

Positive reinforcement: When your cat tries the new food, offer
gentle affection or a favorite activity. Creating positive associations with
mealtime helps build trust and acceptance at their own pace.

How much should I feed?

Feeding amounts depend on your pet’s weight, age, activity level, and
overall health.

We recommend using the Feeding Calculator on our website to determine
personalized feeding recommendations for your dog or cat. Our guidelines are
based on nutritional formulation, real-life feeding data, and long-term use of
our food.

If you need help adjusting portions or have specific questions, our team is
always available via the WhatsApp chat on our website to guide you.

Can puppies or kittens eat Nooshi’s food?

Yes. Puppies and kittens can eat Nooshi’s food once they are fully weaned,
usually around 8 weeks of age.

Our recipes are formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the
AAFCO Dog and Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for All Life Stages, which means they
are suitable for growing puppies and kittens as well as adult pets.

Puppies and kittens have higher energy, protein, and mineral requirements to
support growth and development. These needs are met by feeding appropriate
portions of a complete and balanced diet, rather than using a separate formula.
This is why we do not offer a separate puppy or kitten recipe.

To support proper growth, our Feeding Calculator determines the ideal daily
serving size based on your pet’s current weight and expected adult weight. This
helps ensure they receive the right amount of nutrition during each growth
stage.

We recommend updating your puppy or kitten’s weight regularly so feeding
amounts can be adjusted as they grow. During the first 6 months, monthly
updates are ideal. After that, updating every 1 to 2 months until adulthood
helps maintain proper nutrition as growth slows and feeding needs change.

If you ever need help with portions or transitions for young pets, our team
is always available via the WhatsApp chat on our website.

Our Food

What are the benefits of feeding fresh food?

Feeding a balanced and complete fresh food diet can offer many health
benefits, which pet parents often notice within the first few weeks of
switching. While every pet is different, these are some of the most common
benefits reported when feeding properly formulated, gently cooked fresh food.

Improved muscle tone and healthy weight
Fresh, balanced diets are rich in high-quality, digestible protein and free
from unnecessary fillers. This supports lean muscle development while helping
pets maintain an ideal body condition.

Better digestion and stool quality
Because fresh food is more digestible and bioavailable than ultra-processed dry
food, pets absorb more nutrients and produce less waste. This often results in
smaller, firmer stools with less odor.

Healthier skin and shinier coat
The natural fats, omega-3s, and minimally processed nutrients in balanced fresh
food support skin health and coat quality. Pets with sensitivities or chronic
itching often see noticeable improvements over time.

Reduced inflammation and allergy symptoms
Balanced fresh diets eliminate many common inflammatory ingredients found in
dry food, such as fillers, artificial additives, and excessive processing. This
can help reduce itching, licking, ear issues, and other allergy-related
symptoms.

Improved hydration and kidney support
Fresh food has a higher moisture content than dry food, which supports
hydration and helps reduce strain on the kidneys and urinary system, especially
in cats.

Steady energy and vitality
Pets fed balanced fresh food often experience more stable energy levels
throughout the day, without the spikes and crashes associated with highly
processed carbohydrates.

Stronger immune and gut health
A complete and balanced fresh diet supports a healthy gut microbiome, which
plays a key role in immune function and overall resilience.

Fresh food is not a trend. When recipes are balanced, complete, and made
with high-quality ingredients, fresh feeding supports long-term health,
comfort, and quality of life.Nooshi’s is a fresh pet food  and

Do Nooshi’s recipes meet AAFCO standards?

Yes. Nooshi’s recipes are formulated to meet the nutritional levels
established by the AAFCO Dog and Cat Food Nutrient Profiles, based on species
and life stage.

Our cat recipes meet the AAFCO Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for All Life
Stages, which means they are complete and balanced for both kittens and adult
cats.

Our dog recipes meet the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for All Life
Stages, making them suitable for puppies and adult dogs.

AAFCO, the Association of American Feed Control Officials, sets widely
recognized nutritional guidelines for pet food. While AAFCO does not approve or
certify individual products, formulating recipes to meet these nutrient
profiles helps ensure pets receive all essential nutrients needed for long-term
health.

When included correctly and in calculated amounts, pulverized bone is not
only safe, but nutritionally superior to artificial calcium sources.

Where does Nooshi’s source its ingredients from?

We source our meat and ingredients from trusted local farms and suppliers
that meet our standards for quality, safety, and transparency. All the meat
used in Nooshi’s food is human-grade and suitable for human consumption.

We do not use 3D or 4D meat, by-products, rendered meals, or mystery
proteins. Every protein source is selected intentionally, and we prioritize
suppliers who can provide clear information about sourcing, handling, and
quality.

Because sourcing standards and certifications differ by country, we focus on
what matters most to us and to pet parents: ingredient quality, traceability,
and honest practices. We regularly visit and review our suppliers, and we
openly share behind-the-scenes sourcing visits and production processes so you
can see where your pet’s food comes from.

At Nooshi’s, transparency is not a claim. It is a practice. We believe pet
parents deserve to know exactly what they are feeding and where it comes from.

Is it okay to feed my dogs and cats liver every day?

Yes, when it is calculated correctly.

Liver and other organ meats are used intentionally in Nooshi’s recipes to
naturally provide essential vitamins and minerals, without relying on synthetic
vitamin premixes. Organs such as liver are rich in nutrients like vitamin A, B
vitamins, iron, and copper, which are vital for overall health.

The key is precision. We carefully calculate the exact amount of liver and
organ meats needed to balance each recipe according to the AAFCO Dog and Cat
Food Nutrient Profiles. This ensures that dogs and cats receive the nutritional
benefits of organs without excess.

When included in proper proportions as part of a complete and balanced diet,
feeding liver daily is both safe and beneficial for dogs and cats.

You have bone in your recipe. Is this safe?

Yes, it is safe and intentionally included.

We use bone in our recipes to naturally balance calcium and phosphorus
levels without relying on synthetic vitamin or mineral premixes. Calcium and
phosphorus are essential for healthy bones, teeth, muscle function, and overall
metabolic health in both dogs and cats.

The concern many people hear about bones typically refers to whole bones,
which can splinter and cause injury. This is not what we use. The bone in
Nooshi’s food is very finely pulverized into a sand-like consistency before being incorporated into the recipe.
This makes it completely safe, easily digestible, and free from the risks
associated with whole bones.

Using finely ground bone allows us to provide minerals in their natural,
bioavailable form, the way animals are biologically designed to consume them,
while ensuring precise and balanced nutrition in every meal.

Why do you use seed oils?

Dogs and cats require essential fatty acids for overall health, including
omega-6 fatty acids, which play an important role in skin health, coat quality,
immune function, and cellular health.

Seed oils are not inherently harmful. Issues arise when fats are poorly
sourced, overly processed, or included in excess without proper balance. In
Nooshi’s recipes, seed oils are used intentionally and in carefully calculated
amounts to help meet essential fatty acid requirements.

What matters most is balance. We formulate our food to maintain an
appropriate ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids, which helps support
healthy inflammation levels rather than contribute to imbalance.

We also prioritize using high-quality fats as part of a complete and
balanced diet, rather than relying on excessive amounts of any single oil.
Every fat source in our recipes serves a specific nutritional purpose and is
included with intention.

Are any dyes added to your food?

No. We do not add any dyes or artificial colorants to our food.

The color of our recipes comes naturally from the real, whole ingredients we
use, such as fresh meat and organs. Because we work with natural ingredients,
you may notice slight variations in color between batches or recipes. This is
completely normal and can change based on factors like seasonality and
sourcing.

We believe food should look the way real food looks, without the need for
artificial additives.
